The startup Sharing Worker, born between Cannes and Aix-en-Provence, is unveiling a simple, accessible, and effective solution to secure construction sites and all work zones using connected objects.
Behind this innovation are Florent Bonneau and Olivier Rospide, two former construction managers, well aware of the everyday risks in the industry. Their goal is clear: prevent accidents rather than endure them, by relying on proximity-based technologies.
The result? A smart bracelet combined with a connected warning light, capable of detecting human presence around machinery and emitting a dual alert in hazardous situations.
"We wanted to create a ‘safety bubble’ around machines, with an adjustable perimeter depending on the need. As soon as a pedestrian enters this zone, their bracelet vibrates and a light signal is triggered for the machine operator. A simple, fast, and clear action."
A technology solution designed for the field
Designed to be intuitive, low-cost, and immediately operational, the Sharing Worker solution stands out for its ease of deployment.
At a rate of 50 cents per day per worker, it is offered as a subscription or for purchase, depending on the specifics of the construction site or work zone, in France and internationally.
In addition to the hardware, a dedicated application allows site managers to adjust the settings (safety radius, alert intensity, battery life...). The integration of an AI layer makes it possible to analyze risk zones using GPS data to better anticipate critical situations.
"An accident is not a fatality, it's a lack of anticipation."

A SYMES-designed system, serving connected safety
Behind this innovation is a close collaboration between Sharing Worker and the engineering firm SYMES, a connected objects specialist based in Cagnes-sur-Mer.
- Sharing Worker led the product vision, challenged technical decisions, and continuously provided field feedback.
- SYMES handled the design of the electronic components: firmware, hardware, prototyping, pre-series.
This custom design, informed by real-world needs, enabled the development of a robust, intuitive solution perfectly suited to demanding professional environments.
Every technological element — electronics, software, functionality — was optimized to ensure consistency and responsiveness across iterations.
The final assembly is carried out in Cannes, in Sharing Worker’s workshop, ensuring close coordination between design and field deployment.
A broader vision of safety
The long-term ambition? To create a true "internet of safety" for high-risk professional environments such as construction sites, warehouses, and industry.
With a battery life exceeding one week, the solution is designed for durability.
Next steps include:
- Fall detection
- Automatic alerting of nearby colleagues
- And more features to improve responsiveness in the event of an incident
Sharing Worker was born from a simple belief:
Technology must adapt to the field, not the other way around.
By combining construction industry experience with strong technical expertise, Olivier Rospide and Florent Bonneau have developed robust, accessible, and ready-to-use connected solutions.
Electronic architecture, embedded software, sensor integration, AI: every component has been designed with precision, serving one goal — effectively protecting workers in the field.
